Summer 2017 Reading List

I’ve been trying to finish a book per month recently, and over summer with more vacations and lazy days by the pool, I’ve been kicking it into overdrive. Here is my summer reading list!

Watch Me Disappear, Janelle Brown

This murder mystery reminds me so much of Big Little Lies! A Berkeley mom has disappeared and a year later, her daughter starts having visions of her, basically shaking her family’s ideas of who she was. Double life? Yep. This isn’t released until next week, but I am sooooo hype for it.

Into the Water, Paula Hawkins

This is the next book by The Girl on the Train author that is equally as creepy and unpredictable. I finished this in one day!!! Definitely not something to read when you’re at home alone on a stormy night, but perfect for an airplane read. I love mysteries, if you hadn’t realized!

The Identicals, Elin Hilderbrand

Two identical twin sisters are the focus of this book, but they’re polar opposites – one is a stylish and sophisticated socialite with a failing business, and the other is an unemployed and recently dumped tomboy. The two switch lives and what ensues is entertaining as heck. Kind of like a modern day Parent Trap, but not really, but kind of.

The Alice Network, Kate Quinn

In 1947, a pregnant college girl from a prominent family is sent away to Europe to avoid embarrassment. While there, she breaks from her plan to find her cousin, who had gone missing in Nazi-occupied France. This one is soooooo goooood. Spies galore!

The Bright Hour, Nina Riggs

A great book about life before death and how we cope with knowing it’s coming. A must read if you have a loved one who is sick or elderly so you can better understand their thought processes and help to keep them positive. I had no idea a book about such a sad topic could be so good or leave me feeling so happy, but it was, and it did.

What good books have you read recently? Any new releases you’re excited about?? Let me know what’s on your summer reading list!
