New Apartment Design Ideas

I officially move into my new apartment this week! (I can’t tell you how long I have been waiting to write that). Y’all have been very helpful with your insight into my new apartment decor and color scheme, and I wanted to share my initial ideas. I will be trying my best to get an empty apartment tour up in the next week so you can see the blank canvas v. the end product.

The first thing I found for my new place was this rug. I really liked the boho vibes with the different colors and geometric patterns, and I saw instantly that my blush accent pieces from my current apartment would match well. I also saw the opportunity to pull out other colors to bring in more of my current pieces and buy some new!

The four main colors I want to pull out are navy, light blue, gold and blush.

 

As I mentioned before, my current apartment is basically blush, gold and beige, and I wanted to make sure as many pieces from that would fit into this new space because 1: I love them all and 2: ya girl does not have the budget to start from scratch.

I am really excited about bringing some blues in the form of navy and a lighter blue to balance the warm hues in the space. I think overall it will look more like my taste than just the warm tones, and as my friend Megan pointed out, these colors match my IG feed! LOL!

As for layouts, my mom and I have been playing around with a few ideas. The space is kind of unique in the floorplan, which you will see when I get my apartment tour up, which means I have to be creative in how I use the nooks and crannies a la Carrie Bradshaw. I am for sure getting a dedicated office space, which is oh-so exciting!!! As for the rest of it, your guess is as good as mine.
