Fall Hat Guide
With the back to school and fall shopping seasons upon us, I have been getting lots of DMs from you asking me about the names of hats out there. There seem to be so many and they can be hard to sort through online! Today, we are talking about categories of hats for fall to help educate you on your cold-weather shopping ventures.

Felt Hats
Felt hats are referred to as many things online – wide brim hats, floppy hats, fedora hats, Panama hats…. at the end of the day, they are made of felt and generally are neutral. I like these hats to balance out a simple outfit or paired with a sweater. These also keep your head warm because of the felt material!
Bakers / Cabby Caps
I have seen so names for these hats too. Bakers caps? Cabby cabs? Fisherman caps? The Nordstrom website calls them 10 different terms. Basically, these styles of caps consist of bill, a band around the head and then a looser fitting cap. These come in different variations, with some caps being tighter or looser on your head, and some even have embellishments like roping or studs. I am a huge fan of these!
Berets
Berets have totally made a comeback! Once worn by the likes of Blair Waldorf, berets have been seen everywhere in fall campaigns. I enjoy that brands are branching out and making berets that are PATTERNED.
Baseball Caps
Baseball caps are a classic go-to for athleisure looks, running errands or bad hair days. For fall, I would recommend going with fall colors or neutrals.
Beanies
When it gets cold out, beanies quickly become your best friend. These keep you looking cute while staying warm! I like the ones with a cuff so you can adjust how tight it is on your head.
What kind of fall hat is your favorite?
YES to all of these styles! I think I need to hop on the beret train though… so cute!!
