Fall Fashion Forecast

Fashion Week has come to a close, which means we are going all in on FALL! I wanted to show you a preview of the trends for this season that I tried to incorporate into a few looks. Some looks contain more than one 😉 hope you enjoy! AND HAPPY FALL!

Leopard Print

Leopard print came in with a bang this spring and it is here to stay this fall! I am loving seeing it on satin midi skirts and cardigans, as these will be key transitional pieces. I really liked how this BB Dakota skirt was a gray and green print rather than the traditional beige and camel tones! It allows the skirt to also function for holiday parties going into winter.

Statement Jackets

Teddy jackets became extremely popular last fall, and the trend of the “it jacket” will be returning in 2019. Whether it’s embellishment, faux fur, fun patterns, or just a pop of color, any outfit can be made better with a statement jacket.

I loved this denim jacket because the faux fur incorporates another trend, leopard print, and is removable, so you can wear the black denim separately of the collar if you so choose.

90s Influence

Blazer c/o BB Dakota (M) | Turtleneck Sweater Tank (M) | Corduroy Skirt c/o BB Dakota (6) | Black Booties (9.5) | Link Bracelet | Crossbody Bag

The 70s had a big influence last fall, and I predict that the 90s will be our style inspo this season. I saw this oversized blazer, which gave me a combo of Clueless and Kate Moss vibes, and knew it would be a great layering piece for the fall. Turtlenecks, biking shorts and tall sneakers are more trends I think we will see from the 90s.

Witchy Wear

AHS Coven definitely started the “spooky season” outfit inspo and it seemingly gets stronger every year! Hats have been an increasingly big part of fall trends in past years, and I think pairing black lacey tops with fun sleeves with a good hat is going to be something you see a lot of this fall.

I have seen stripes reemerging as a power print in recent months, and I think it will be that way far past fall. Polka dots did their thing, and star prints are still kinda popular, but stripes have been coming back in a big way. This adorable stripe shift dress is the perfect dress up, dress down dress that you could wear to work, brunch, or date night.

I love your outfit choices! Especially the jacket! It’s great that the collar is removable so you have another option of how you can wear it!
