Month of Me 30 Day Challenge
Hi friends! Been a little bit since I’ve posted on here with the May drop for Bailuna and onboarding some C5 clients, yay!
I’ve talked a bit about this before, and posted IG stories specifically about this challenge a few weeks ago, but in case you missed them, or you’re new here: Now that my blog and its corresponding socials are more for “me” and “fun” again, I’m trying to share more about things that matter. I love swapping beauty product recs and cute outfit ideas, but I think it’s important we also have a little heavier conversations. We begun talking about race last year, and we’ve talked about mental health and faith before. I’ve loved the connections I’ve built through those conversations with all of you, and as much as I hope to be a resource, I’m blessed to be able to learn from you as I grow and evolve.
I’ve slacked on posting on my public IG page, and I had been toying with the idea of doing a month-long IG challenge to get me back into posting. All the preexisting ones I was finding online weren’t really what I was trying to accomplish, so with the help of some friends, I made my own!
Although I’ve come a long, long way with loving myself, I think there’s always room to grow and more room in our hearts than we think possible. “Month of Me” came from the idea of doing little things every day of the month that are about self-love, self-care and self-reflection. You can’t truly love yourself if you don’t take time for yourself, take care of yourself physically and mentally, or take a look at the gray-er parts of you. With this in mind, I developed daily tasks to help myself, and whoever else wants to participate, take time for us and expand our comfort zones.
Obviously, I’d love if anyone wanted to join, and I know a few of you already have told me you are… but this is really for me to reclaim an account that used to stress me out and cause me to question my self-worth. The idea of posting every day for a month about my journey to loving every bit of me, even the shadowy parts, is really cathartic and healing to me. To top it off, June is my birthday month, so it feels really special and a good *gut feeling* to do it now.
I’ll be posting each day on Instagram, partly for accountability, but mainly for transparency and camaraderie with those of you also participating. Don’t at all feel like you need to post to participate in this challenge – it’s by you and for you – but if you do choose to share on IG stories or posts, I’d love if you tagged me or used #junemonthofme so I can check in with you periodically, as well as connect with other participants!
Oh, and you’re probably going to want to get a journal… lots of shadow work to do here 😉
I’m sharing each day’s graphics below, and there’s also a button to download all (pre-cropped to IG’s portrait size, haha!)
Thank you for being here. It’s been such a joy getting to grow up with you and taking our friendships deeper ♥
Love you, mean it!
