friday five 3/10/17
Hello fabulous humans! How was your week?!
Mine was full of self reflection, prayer and ultimately treating myself. This mindset was so helpful that for this Friday Five I decided to round up some of the things that made this week so great (and made me feel so awesome) to help you do the same!

1) Journaling
I know I have a blog and everything (maybe you do, too) but I hadn’t journaled since 2014. My friend got me a cute Kate Spade notebook for Christmas, so I decided with all the changes coming up in my life, now would be a good time to start. It’s so liberating to get your thoughts and feelings out on paper. You feel justified and validated. 10/10 recommend if you’re ever conflicted, upset, confused – WRITE IT OUT.
2) Wine Face Mask
The Dolls over at Once Upon a Dollhouse and I survived our juice cleanse (more on that later) so to celebrate, I used the wine face mask they gave me in Paso Robles! Considering wine is a gift from God, I knew that this would be amazing for my face – but I was shocked at the results. My skin has never felt so smooth and my pores are NON-EXISTENT. Excuse me, what?! Pick up your own and treat yo self.
3) Comfiest (And Happiest) Tee EVER
Happiest Tee is a brand producing loungewear for travel lovers everywhere. Each piece says “Happiest in” followed by locations all around the world! I love that even if you’re not in your favorite place in the world, you can cozy up in this comfy shirt and pretend you are. I honestly had no idea fabric could be so soft… I’ve been guilty of living in my Mexico tee recently when it’s been deadly cold in Chicago, pretending I’m on a beach. But how fun will it be to finally wear it IN Mexico?!
4) Argan Oil Lip Balm
Lip Glam has an amazing natural and paraben-free lip balm that will cure any chapped lips. Its secret? Argan oil, the same stuff that does wonders for your hair! I tried it out and it cured my gross, dry lips within an hour. Needless to say, I’m a believer, and since Chicago is about to see more snowfall and gross weather, I will be lathering this on.
5) Pastel Nails
I don’t know about you, but I am sure not getting bright green nails for St. Patrick’s Day. I skipped ahead to Easter and am loving pastel shades to ring in spring! I went with a light lavender to spice things up!
See you all next week for more posts and more fun!
It is always remind myself of all the good when there is what i think is a lot of bad going on. It is the little things in life that make us happy and thankful!
