April 17 Life + Blog Updates

Hi everyone! This post is long overdue and for that I apologize. Believe it or not, I DO read my comments on Instagram, check my email and see what y’all are saying in the comments section on this site. I have noticed some common themes, and I’ve decided to answer some questions / address your ideas here and share my next steps with you:

POSTGRAD LIFE

I have gotten a lot of questions about how I 1: got my job, 2: picked out and moved into my apartment, and 3: adjusted to life in a new city and a 9-5 job. I understand how scary this must be for y’all because I lived it a year ago – it seems crazy typing that out now, it feels like just yesterday. SO I am here for you! Tips and tricks on how to interview, how to pick an apartment, what to wear to work, and more! I have heard you – and I am working to make this a new series.

COLLEGE & SORORITIES

A lot of you are on the other side of the spectrum – you haven’t even begun college yet! I have been seeing a lot asking about how to set up a dorm room, how to stay healthy with meal plans, etc. but I have seen so much more on sororities! The pros, the cons, how recruitment works, what to wear: it’s a lot, I know, but no matter what anyone says, sororities are worth it. I will definitely explain more about everything in upcoming posts. I am definitely not forgetting about you youngins! I will be creating content specifically for this stage of life. I even have had a few of you emailing me asking me to critique your rush outfits! I definitely want to help with that, and as summer goes on, there will be way more of that.

BLOGGING HELP

I have been surprised by the amount of questions I’ve gotten about how to start a blog. How did I start? What are the steps you should take to do it? What is it like? I decided the best way to do this is to create a new series on my blog ABOUT blogging. It won’t be a main focus, but it will be there for those of you who are interested! I am already in talks with other full-time bloggers to create the best resource library for y’all, I am even working on an ebook! Make sure you’re signed up to receive the emails with more details!

ABOUT ME

Finally, I have gotten remarkable feedback on how y’all wanna hear more about me and my everyday life. Some of you want to know more about my job, some want to know about my dog and some of you even asked me about dating in Chicago – spoiler alert, it sucks. I will work harder to incorporate more anecdotes into my posts, but you can always see more into my life by following me on Instagram and watching my Insta stores. I’m going to do a Q&A post soon as well for other random questions you have for me!
