My Favorite Travel Shoes

When you travel, reliable shoes are a MUST. You don’t want blisters or sore feet, and you sure don’t want any shoes breaking! Over the years, I have found some shoes that are cute, comfy and worth the money.

Adidas Superstar Sneakers

I will admit, I first bought these sneakers because they were the *it shoe* a few years back and I wanted to look trendy at tailgates! However, these babies have quickly become my go-to airport shoes as well as a safe option for rainy days. These run a little weird size-wise, I have had friends tell me to size up AND size down. I got my usual size and I feel like they fit just fine! Definitely read reviews before you buy online just to ensure the fit is good.

Eileen Fisher Sandals

I first bought a pair of these sandals when I moved to Chicago and was needing to walk a while to catch the train every morning. Since I now work for myself, they have been rebranded as the comfiest travel shoes I own! These are a bit pricy, but I have had my same pair for nearly three years now and they show no sign of stopping. It’s excellent quality for your $, and these are also SOOOO comfy. The bottom of the sandal is a sneaker platform, which means your feet will be properly cushioned. These are great for cities with lots of walking! I would highly recommend for trips in spring and summer.

Birkenstocks

Birks get a bad rep for being unattractive but in recent years, I do think they have made aesthetic improvements – which is fantastic, because these are SO comfy! Each pair forms to your foot which means you get ALL the support you need. I want to buy a white pair for next summer!

Lucky Brand Basel Booties

I have these booties in a few colors, and even inspired my mom to get a pair! They have a small heel for style, but this helps you stay comfy while wearing them because there isn’t much of a strain on your foot. I have both the leather and suede finishes, and honestly the neutral colors go with everything.

Steve Madden Mules

I love mules for really easy travel. They’re backless, which reduces the chance of blisters by 50%! I especially like how these stretch to allow your feet to move, which definitely helps with the wear and tear of the fabric on your skin.
