Vintage Shops in Wicker Park

This post is in collaboration with Chase Freedom Unlimited. As always, all opinions are 100% my own. Thank you for supporting brands that make Sophisticaition possible!

Hope you are having a great week!

I am one month into my goal to explore more of Chicago. Since I have lived in the same one-mile radius for the past three years, I want to get to know more neighborhoods and understand what makes Chicago, Chicago. In honor of Chase Freedom Unlimited cardmembers earning 3% cashback on purchases for their first year, up to $20,000, I dedicated 3% of my day toward my goal of traveling across the windy city!

First up? Wicker Park.

Wicker Park is an artsy neighborhood on the west side of the city. It’s bordered by the Chicago River to the east, the 606 Trail to the north, Western to the west and Division to the south. If you’ve ever been to New York City, a comparable area would be Brooklyn. There is a really neat and eclectic vibe! A lot of brands have been hosting pop up events in Wicker, so I have been in the area recently but never got a chance to really venture out of one block.

I had two events in Wicker last week, with about an hour to kill in between. Instead of plopping down at a coffee shop and getting work done as I usually do between engagements, I decided to pop into local shops and get to know the neighborhood. Conveniently, 3% of my day is about 43 minutes, making it the perfect amount of time to spend adventuring around Wicker Park!

My favorite find was a small vintage store off Milwaukee. I had so much fun looking through everything from designer bags to 70s dresses!! I ended up finding a great top for just $17! I used my cash back credit card to buy it and now every time I wear it, I will remember the story of finding it, and the Chase Freedom Unlimited rewards of don’t hurt either!!
