One Look, Two Ways: Blue Tie-Dye Dress

Hi everyone!

Thank you so much for all the positive feedback on my first One Look, Two Ways feature! I loved the chance to do something different and really challenge myself. I was so happy reading your comments and emails – I’m glad you feel you are being heard, because you are!

I am so excited to continue One Look, Two Ways today with an adorable blue tie-dye dress. I cannot find the exact dress in stock anywhere (It’s Vintage Havana and I got it at a boutique in STL) but I found a very similar one. If it comes back in stock, I’ll be sure to update!

Way 1

I first styled this dress as if I were going to a music festival. I paired it with minimal jewelry, like these simple stud earrings and black choker.

I added my favorite Adidas sneakers to give the dress a more sporty and casual touch. Plus, they’re comfy AF.

Since I was styling this for a music festival, I didn’t really include a bag – I normally wear a fanny pack to those, and that would kill my outfit post vibe, so to speak.

Way 2

I then decided to make this boho dress more girly. I kept on the same stud earrings because I didn’t want to detract from the criss cross detail of the dress.

I added a pop of color with this cobalt purse, which I think also helped to appeal to the bright and girly look I was going for.

Finally, I paired these comfy wedges with the dress to make it more preppy and formal than the previous styling.

  1. I love it both ways but the first one is my favorite! I cannot pull off the sneakers-with-a-dress look so I’m always envious of people who rock it! You look fab!
