From My Friend’s Closet: Katie

Next up in the From My Friend’s Closet series is my girl Katie from Bits + Bites. She is a food and lifestyle blogger who ordered twice for me Thursday since she knows infinitely more about food and drinks than I ever will.

Let’s get to know KT a bit more and see how I styled some of her pieces!

Caitlin: How would you describe your personal style?

Katie: My personal style is very minimalistic, I don’t do a lot of patterns or different colors. I like basic pieces that I can pair together to make the most of my closet.

What trend are you loving right now?

Everything blush colored!

What’s your favorite piece from your closet?

A green turtleneck from H&M, best $20 I’ve ever spent.

Advice for women developing their own personal style?

Don’t ask for other people’s advice. Wear what you like because you like it, and rock it.

Preach! Let’s get into this outfit, shall we?

Katie is one of my few friends that shares a shoe size with me, and I KNEW I just had to borrow her over the knee boots. They have enough of a heel to keep you looking good, but it’s thick enough that you will be comfortable all day. Win-win.

I stole a sweater from Katie’s closet that has a low lace up back. The exact Forever 21 sweater is out of stock, but here is an extremely similar one!

I added my favorite black jeans and my new favorite newsboy cap to make the outfit a little more me. I wear these jeans nearly daily (I wash them, though, promise.) and this hat has been on repeat since I got it. It also helps my look when it’s windy out 😉

I finished this look inspired by Katie’s closet with my trusty black crossbody bag!

Love this look! I think this is such a cute idea for a blog post. I really enjoyed the interview part and I have to agree with her Advice when developing your own style. the look you put together is so cute, that sweater is gorgeous and I don’t think you could ever go wrong with a pair of over the knee boots.
