What to Wear for St. Patrick’s Day

If I had to rank important days in the city of Chicago, St. Patrick’s Day is high on that list. It’s a way bigger deal than I ever imagined it to be prior to moving here. Hundreds of thousands of people brave the cold to watch the river turn as Kelly green as the beer they are drinking.

I’ve been so busy traveling to NYFW, home for Nick’s birthday, and prepping for my trip to New Orleans that St. Patrick’s Day planning has fallen waaaaaay back. I just realized how little time I have to figure out a cute outfit and began to freak out, but no worries – Walmart.com now has two-day shipping on select items!

Everyone wears green for the parade and bar crawls, so I knew I wanted a cute green shirt. I found this one on Walmart.com that says lucky in cursive and fell in love (with the price, too!). It’s fun, festive, and can be worn the entire month of March – When I purchase seasonal items, I like finding things that I can wear for more than just the holiday itself.

I paired the tee with some frayed denim jeans that are long enough to keep me warm in case Mother Nature doesn’t cooperate on the day of the parade and white boots to pull out the white font in the graphic tee. The boots also help to “dress up” the outfit a little.

I didn’t want to pay an arm and a leg to get green nails for a single day, so I got some nail stickers from Walmart.com to add to my festive outfit. They went on right over my gel manicure and helped to add a little pizzazz. Note: You will probably need a friend to help you apply these and trim off any excess length!

I am so excited for St. Patrick’s Day now that I have an insta-ready outfit! Get yours in time for the holiday by ordering with 2-day shipping from Walmart.com before 3/14 🙂
