Festival Hair with Bed Head

I loooooove festival season. Great music, great energy, and great hair! I was so excited to work with Bed Head Styling for Chicago’s big music festival a few weekends ago because I knew I was going to level up my festival hair.

My stylists used the Bed Head® Wave Artistâ„¢ Tourmaline Ceramic Deep Waver to give me an edgy, rockin’ look for the festival!

Background on the Wave Artist: It allows you to achieve shiny, frizz-free waves, goes up to 400°F to lock the styling in place, and gets you looking fab real fast!

After sectioning off my hair and applying my clip-in hair extensions, my stylists got to work on using the Wave Artist.

To use the tool, you clamp it by the roots, hold for a few second, and then slowly move down the piece of hair while matching the last curve to create continuous waves.

I was told it’s best to use one-inch sections of hair at a time with the Wave Artist, and to keep the hair at an angle when you are using the tool! This helps the hair achieve natural volume.

It’s okay to not have each section of the wave match up – I liked that my waves were asymmetrical. It gave a more carefree vibe!

After my stylists completed using the Wave Artist, they moved onto adding volume to my hair. They back brushed the crown of my head to give me some needed *oomph* in the back. I felt like an 80s rock legend seeing my hair get bigger and bigger!

After my stylists were pleased with the growth of my hair, they asked me, “Should we add some glitter?” The answer is always YES!

They carefully painted some glitter onto my roots, taking my edgy look and raising it to a whole new level.

I was absolutely thrilled with how my festival look ended up thanks to the Bed Head® Wave Artist™ Tourmaline Ceramic Deep Waver. The waves lasted all day, and I got so many compliments!
