NYFW Makeup with Physicians Formula

This post is sponsored by Physicians Formula. As always, all opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting brands that make Sophisticaition possible!

New York Fashion Week is full of glitz and glam… which means a full week of makeup looks! I’m so excited to share the tools I used to create my makeup looks this week – Physicians Formula’s new Murumuru Butter Eyeshadows and Butter Lip Creams 🙂

Let’s first talk about these gorg eyeshadows. There are two different eyeshadow palettes – Tropical Days and Sultry Nights. Above, you see Tropical Days on the bottom, and Sultry Nights up top.

Tropical Days

I wore both palettes during fashion week, using the bold and bright hues from the Tropical Days to spice up neutral looks, and adding the darker and more deep shades of Sultry Nights to compliment some of my crazier outfits. Both palettes contain very nice neutrals that can be worn every day, and in my opinion the decision between which to use comes down to these “accent” shades.

Are you more of a bold color kind of gal, or do you stick to neutrals and darker shades for your eye looks?

Sultry Nights

This eyeshadow’s formula is SOOOO creamy. It goes on as smoothly as Butter Blush and Butter Highlighter, if you have ever tried those. The shades blend out very nicely and aren’t cakey like a lot of shadows these days. Fallout is minimal, even on the shimmery colors, which is something that’s important to me. No one wants to redo their foundation because of eyeshadow fallout!!

Finally, the smell. I first noticed this amazing smell with the Butter Bronzer from Physicians Formula… it 100% carries into these eyeshadows.

Sultry Nights

In addition to the new Butter Eyeshadows, Physicians Formula released new Butter Lip Creams in 12 shades!

Let me tell you, these lippies glide on. I love how hydrated they make my lips feel and how long the color lasts. It’s a bit more sheer than you initially think, but you can apply a second coat to make it more dark.

The two shades I wore the most during FW were Samba Red, which is a lighter red tone with coral, and Mauvin to Brazil, a light pinky color that almost looked nude on me.

In all honesty, I was nervous the darker shades would wash me out, but because of the unique lippie formula, I was shocked… they looked GOOD!

I have no idea how Physicians Formula is able to sell such a great hydrating lip butter for under $10 because this formula is killer!

I love the new product additions to the Physicians Formula Butter line, and I know you will, too!

The Butter Eyeshadow Palette retails for $17.99 and the Butter Lip Creams each retail for $8.49.
