navy for spring transition
Spring is coming sooooooo quick that your closets may not be ready yet! Anyone else experiencing temps rising and falling by 30 degrees day to day?! The secret to transitioning to warmer temps while still fitting in on the colder days: NAVY for spring.
This color is brighter than black to get you one step closer to your pastels, but still is dark enough to style with winter pieces. I caught up with my friend Caitlin who just started a blog of her own (double twinning) to show you how to wear navy into spring.

In my opinion, spring clothes are fun. They always have a special something that make them stand out compared to the plain jane boring blahness of winter clothes. Both of our outfits were full of simple pieces given a slight edge that make them perfect for spring!
Our navy tops have playful details which help with the spring vibes. Caitlin is wearing a navy bodysuit with a great cut out back and fun sleeves. The fabric also has a shimmery thread sewn in, giving it a little sparkle. The metallic thread and the bare skin make this perfect to style for spring as Caitlin did with just a pair of ripped jeans, but she could easily throw a jacket on this, put on booties, and BAM, she is winter ready!
I wore a navy tank featuring a tie up front. It’s fairly simple to wear with jeans for spring, but this could easily go with a cardigan and riding boots if the temperatures dropped. It can also be untied to show a little more skin as the sun peeks out!
We both wore jeans with details to continue the slight twist on classic pieces that I love for spring. Caitlin is wearing ripped light wash denim. The rips are not huge and distracting, they’re the perfect size for stylistic effect!
I wore acid wash jeans, giving my denim a slight pattern to add interest to my outfit.
On our feet, we wore black sandals and white Adidas, respectively, to tie off the looks in an effortless way.
